Help Build Canada's
Manufacturing Resilience

A coordinated Canadian ecosystem of makers, designers, fabricators, and technicians — building domestic capacity for resilience, operational support, and lawful rapid production.

Our Mission

Building Canada's Manufacturing Backbone

The Canadian Distributed Manufacturing Network is a civilian-first initiative creating a coordinated ecosystem of skilled Canadians capable of producing lawful, non-sensitive support items for domestic resilience.

Domestic Resilience

Reducing dependence on foreign supply chains by building a robust, distributed Canadian manufacturing base that can respond rapidly when needed — including the responsible stockpiling and management of essential raw materials like 3D printing filament and other common fabrication inputs to ensure production capacity even during supply disruptions.

Community-Driven

Empowering local makers, fabricators, and technicians from coast to coast. This is a grassroots network built by Canadians, for Canada.

Practical Innovation

Focusing on lawful, non-sensitive items — protective gear, replacement parts, marketing and promotional materials, communication mounts, and more.

Coast-to-Coast Network

Connecting skilled Canadians in every province and territory into a coordinated ecosystem ready to produce, design, and deliver.

What We Make

Practical Support, Where/When Needed

Every item in our scope is lawful, non-sensitive, and designed for practical support capacity. Here are examples of what this network will produce.

Protective Equipment

Custom-fit helmets, face shields, ballistic plate carriers, and safety gear manufactured locally.

Marketing & Promotion Materials

Custom signage, branded outreach materials, trade show displays, recruitment items, and promotional products for defence and institutional awareness campaigns.

Communication Mounts

Radio brackets, antenna mounts, and ruggedized cases for field communication equipment.

Field Support Items

Tourniquets, medical kit enclosures, water filtration housings, and rapid shelter components.

3D-Printed Solutions

Rapid-response 3D printing for replacement parts, tool jigs, adapter pieces, and custom fittings.

Logistics & Packaging

Custom shipping solutions, inventory management tools, and coordinated supply chain support.

National Benefit

Why Canada Needs This

A strong domestic manufacturing network isn't just practical — it's patriotic. Every Canadian maker who joins strengthens our collective capacity.

Strengthened Supply Chains

Domestic production reduces reliance on vulnerable international supply chains, keeping critical items available when Canadians need them most.

Economic Empowerment

Channeling manufacturing contracts and projects directly into Canadian communities, workshops, and small businesses from coast to coast.

On-Demand & Custom Production

When you need it, where you need it. A distributed network delivers custom and on-demand manufacturing — getting essential support items produced and delivered without the delays of traditional procurement.

Skills Development

Growing Canada's technical workforce by connecting experienced makers with emerging talent and providing real-world production experience.
